Hogwarts
After talking to many of the old timers I was told of strange happenings at a castle known as Hogwarts. I was told that trolls run loose in this castle. About a friendly house elf (I was later to find out the elf's name was Newfie Wendy) and even and evil professor that was expelled due to him not agreeing with the ways of the good. I soon found the location of this castle and learned it was a school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
I spoke with the owner and Master of Dumbledore House Anita Fortuna over the phone and arranged a time to meet her at the property. She was most welcoming in inviting me into this strange place. When I first arrived the most striking feature was the Whomping Willow standing guard at the entrance like a dog ready to devourer anyone to careless enough to put a foot wrong.
After talking with Anita for a while on the front grounds I was invited inside. As soon as I stepped inside the paranormal energy overwhelmed me and it took me a while to regain my thoughts. I was then introduced to the Master of Gryffindom House Crazy Monster.
Crazy Monster was gracious enough to give me a tour of Hogwarts.

Wanting to get a feel for the place I changed into a student uniform that were provided in the front foyer. First off I was taken into the kitchen, here all the student and guest meals are prepared by elves. I caught a glimpse as a small creature scuttling into a dark recess. I was explained to it was an elf as they can't stand the sight of Sims they are a rare sight.
The kitchens led out into the great dining hall were all the meals are served. Trivia night is held on Saturday nights here and also it is the home of the House Cup and the sorting hat that sorts new students in to their retrospective house.
Many rooms led off the great dining hall. A room at the rear contained potions class, which are taught by Lord Hades Master of Slytherin House and Safi Master of Hufflepuff House.
I was led through a door to the side of the dining hall into a room called Muggle Museum. It is a room where students ogle the tings that Muggles think are fun. Adjacent the Muggle Museum is the library where students can read up and study spells and potions.
I was led to the students bathrooms where is was aware of a supernatural presents and was told the story of Moaning Myrtle (note to self research more about the origins of this Moaning Myrtle) and how the students like to throw books at her.

Great Dining Hall

Trivia night is held on Saturday nights here and also it is the home of the House Cup
I was then shown the upstairs quarters, which contain the student's homerooms. I was also invited to view the teacher's quarters, which is off bounds to students. Also transfiguration class and know making classes are up stirs. I played a game of chess in the Wizards chess room where students compete against one another. Out on the balcony student's look through telescopes to learn about other worlds and galaxies.
There were many rooms I was unable to explore at this time. On my exited I came across a strange looking door I never noticed on my way in crazy Monster seemed most reluctant to explain this room but after my prodding I was told the room contained the mirrors of Erissod. Theses mirrors show you what you want to see not the truth. I was politely to view at my own risk.
There last of the tour was the grounds. I was shown insides Hugrids Hut a giant there is seldom seen.
Another point of interest on the grounds is the Quidditeh grounds, a Wizard sports. Unfortunately there was not a game in session.
The fore grounds contain the glasshouse where hebology is taught. Mandrake is said to frequent here. I was also told it is not uncommon to see the feeding of venomous tentacula.
After the tour I was invited to become a student (being a student would enable me to explore this castle in much more detail) After I went through the process of the sorting hat I was sorted into the House Raven Claw. Mater of the House is Georginna Granger
Although this School is teaming with paranormal activity, I could see no signs of any real evil to the extent that I have experienced at Hell Fire Manor. Well that was my day and night spent at the Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A wondrous place everyone should visit. |
